Equity: All patients deserve access to care, even if they reside in a rural location, have no insurance, or have limited transportation.
Affordability: Our providers avoid unnecessary tests, procedures, and appointments. We accept any payment insurance will provide, but ask for no additional payment from patients.
Education: We believe that when patients understand how to prevent diseases and control their chronic conditions, they are more likely to achieve their health goals.
Empowerment: Our providers strive to remove barriers to good health and give patients the confidence they need to maximize their health.
Where Can I Get Care?
The Outland Family Clinic
Since 2020, the Outland Family Clinic has provided high-quality, affordable, and convenient care to residents of Western North Carolina. We are located at 281 Laurel Valley Rd. in Mars Hill, NC at the Ebbs Chapel Community Center.
Telemedicine Appointments
Many types of appointments can occur from the convenience of your own home. Telemedicine appointments are available for those with limited transportation, time, or ability to travel for in-person care.
How Do I Pay?
The Outland Family Clinic accepts payments from a variety of insurance plans, however patients with little or no ability to pay will receive assistance with payment.
Special Services Available from CHP and the Outland Family Clinic
In addition to chronic disease management, sick-day care, and acute injury care, the Outland Family Clinic providers specialize in the following care:
Weight management counseling by a provider certified in Adult and Pediatric Weight Management
Advanced diabetes management and diabetes education from a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
Nutrition Counseling for sports performance, disease management, or wellness by a Registered and Licensed Dietitian

Meet Our Provider
Amy Beane has been a volunteer provider at the Outland Family Clinic since it opened on June 4, 2021. She is passionate about improving the health of the surrounding community, of which she is a proud part.
Amy enjoys rowing, cycling, and cooking. She also likes spending time in the beautiful Western North Carolina mountains with her husband of 21 years and her three girls. She teaches adult Sunday School at her local church and enjoys learning about the miracle of the human body.
